Elegant Videos by Kris is celebrating 20 years in business! Opened in 1988 by Kris Malandruccolo, her company continues to flourish, winning many prestigious awards by bringing her unique feminine touch and her own bridal perspective to every event. Kris employs her husband Bob as second camera operator. Together, they make a great team bringing their own and hundreds of other wedding day experiences with them when they come work for you!

In January 2006, EventDV magazine honored Kris as one of the "Top 25 Videographers" in the industry for her profound influence in the field. Kris is also a multiple award-winning columnist who writes The Reel Deal, a reoccuring column for EventDV magazine. Kris has also written for other publications.

Kris is often cited in the news. She was featured in the 2-28-05 issue of a US News & World Report article entitled "A Match Made On DVD".

Aug. 2007 - Kris was selected into the Wedding & Event Videography Association (WEVA) Hall of Fame. Kris & Bob Malandruccolo participated in the World Record Wedding Video (100 video cameras to videotape a wedding ceremony) in Sacramento on Feb. 15, 2006. This included two-days of educational seminars. Jan. 2006 - Kris was selected to the EventDV 2005 All-Star Team of 25 Most Influential Videographers 2002-2008: Kris is a multi-year, multi-award winner for her wedding cinematography. Her prestigious awards include several: Aegis Awards, Communicator Awards, Telly Awards, Videographer Awards, Hermes Creative Award, MarCom Creative Awards. Kris is an international speaker on video industry topics. She has presented at many local and national video and wedding associations, and at several annual wedding conferences. She has traveled extensively across the United States; Venice, Italy and most recently to Osaka & Tokyo, Japan. Kris is a contributing editor/columnist for EventDV magazine, and has won four consecutive writing awards, 2005-2008.

•Kris received three Distinquished Service Awards from WEVA (for her contributions as an International Competition Judge in the 2003 Creative Excellence Competition, for serving as chairperson of the WEVA Public Relations Committee and as a Special Awards Committee member)
•Kris is a Master Wedding Vendor^TM through the Association of Bridal Consultants (and is the only videographer to earn this title).
•Kris is a contributing editor/columnist for EventDV magazine. She has won a 2005 MarCom Creative Award, a 2006 Communicator Award and a 2007 Hermes Creative Award for writing.
•Kris served two-terms as President of the Illinois Videographers Association (2004-2005), and has served on the IVA board since 2000.

Equipment
•Professional Sony 3-chip digital cameras which are excellent in low light and its small size enables Kris and Bob to be discreet
•Artistic film-style editing is done using Premiere Pro 1.5 - most weddings take 40 plus hours to achieve cinematic quality.
•Several wireless audio sources are used for pristine sound
•If needed, a dimmable, diffused soft-box light on a stand is used; on-camera lighting is not necessary
